Due to the switch to another type of fuel, the heavy fuel oil tanks A, B, and C at the thermal power plant in Rijeka required chemical and mechanical cleaning. The work involved the removal of residue with the special vacumaster and vacupress suction trucks and acceptance of hazardous waste, as well as mechanical and chemical cleaning and preservation of the tank interior (bottom, pipe heater, mantle, roof). Cleaning and preservation of the oil tank interior above the height of 2.5 m included work at height.
